Getting Started & Your First Class
You will learn basic stances and simple movements at your own comfortable pace following a light warm-up. There is no experience or sparring expected—our safe environment is simply designed to get you moving and having fun!
We recommend arriving 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled class time. This gives us a chance to tour the facility, introduce you to the instructor, and ensure you are perfectly set up and comfortable before hitting the mat!
Athletic clothes and a water bottle. That’s it. We’ll handle everything else. If you decide to stick around, we’ll fill you in on uniforms and gear then.
For the first class, athletic clothing is fine. Once enrolled, students will receive a uniform (called a gi) as part of their registration package or can purchase one at the front desk.
Honestly? That’s kind of the whole point. Martial Arts is one of the best things for building confidence and coordination in kids — regardless of where they’re starting from. Our coaches are experienced working with all kinds of personalities. Shy, awkward, and uncoordinated are all welcome here.
Programs, Style & Curriculum
We offer classes for students as young as 4 years old, all the way through adult programs. Our classes are broken down into age-appropriate groups to ensure the best learning environment.
We specialize in Taekwondo. This style focuses on discipline, fitness, and self-defense.
Our curriculum is based on the standards of Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters) and consists of five core components: Kicking, Poomsae (Forms), Olympic-style Sparring, Board Breaking, and Practical Self-Defense. Each area cultivates unique physical and mental attributes, ensuring a well-rounded martial arts education.
We prioritize mastery over speed. Students progress at their own pace, moving through the curriculum based on their individual readiness and understanding rather than being rushed through the ranks.
A basic sparring safety gear package is required starting at Yellow Belt. Belt test fees are $75 per test, excluding the black belt test. Beyond that, there are no other fees—just quality instruction and consistent training.
Your coaches will work with you on a learning path and make sure you’ve got a well-rounded game before you move up.

Our school is located at 873 W Eisenhower Parkway, Ann Arbor, MI, 48103.
Safety is our top priority. Yes, it’s a combat sport and bumps happen — but we enforce our gym rules consistently, and we will call out unsafe training the moment we see it. Doesn’t matter if you’re brand new or have been training for years. Your safety and everyone else’s comes first, full stop.
Once students reach a certain level and begin controlled sparring, they’ll need approved safety gear. We’ll let you know when it’s time to purchase equipment.
We do! Our martial arts birthday parties are a blast — complete with fun games, board breaking, and a mini lesson. Best of all, we handle the setup and cleanup. Contact us to check available dates!
We observe major holidays and follow local school closures for inclement weather. In the event of a closure or important announcement, we will instantly notify you via email, our social media channels, and our community Discord server. We recommend opting into text notifications during registration so you never miss a real-time update.
